A gloriously sunny day today with only a gentle breeze which is a huge contrast to last weekend!
Three or four Large Blues were spotted today. One male in the quarry, a couple of females, one on the eastern glade and one in the gorse and possibly another sighting on the eastern glade although it may have been the same butterfly seen twice.
Marbled Whites are still emerging and looking really good at the moment along with Small Tortoiseshells. There was also a Red Admiral on the eastern glade in the afternoon.
I think the forecast is similar for tomorrow and i would advise bringing plenty of water, sun cream and perhaps a hat if you are visiting.
