Meadow browns are the hardiest on the hill

Todays wind and rain was too much for most self respecting butterflies to make an appearance today although I did see a hardy Meadow brown battling the elements.

I also spent today planning a guided walk for an Earth Science Centre visit this coming weekend. The ranger, Hayley and I had to encompass the hardiness of the Meadow brown to do so though!

Fingers crossed for the Large blues who will be sheltering down in the grass right now.

The changeable weather did provide nice views of a rainbow from Collard hill.
